Papillon :

After working at the golden palaces of Le Crillon, the Plaza Athénée and Le Meurice, in 2016 Christophe Saintagne opens this spacious restaurant in the Wagram neighborhood (modern light wood furniture, orange leather benches, Haussmannian hardwood floors).

Try the set menu of the day (€36) which is quite often a very impressive feat.


At night, the set menu disappears and everything is served à la carte, with slight hints of the chef’s Normand roots…. Delucious!

L’innocence :

What’s new at the foot of Montmartre? At 28 rue de la Tour d’Auvergne, the famous studio/kitchen is changing hands once again, with a new name and a new chef.


After Daniel Rose’s restaurant Spring and Raphaël Régo’s Maloka, it’s time for L’Innocence from Jonathan Caron, the former chef de rang at La Bigarrade, backed up by Anne Legrand (ex-Itinéraires and Clarence) in the kitchen.


Delightful grilled cauliflower with a lemon condiment and fromage blanc-faisselle cheese; a soft-boiled egg gently trembling with joy, paired with garlic purée and anchovy cream; medium-rare Challans duck breast, duck leg confit with herbes de Provence and rhubarb; then, a thin meringue tuile with fennel seeds, Corsican grapefruit and a wild almond mousse.

Eels :

You will immediately recognized the peacock blue façade of this sophisticated bistro (wicker-backed chairs, ENOstudio suspension lamps, thin columns made of rough iron…).


The young chef (ex-Kitchen Galerie Bis) perfects the carefully dressed creations on his €29 menu: white asparagus with melted scarmoza, glistening with a bergamot vinaigrette – or the emblematic smoked eel lit up with an apple-hazelnut sauce vierge, revisited with beets and cranberries; a striking veal chop dressed in lardo di Colonnata and anchovies, paired with purple artichokes – or yellow pollack cooked skin side down on the plancha, …
