The alternative to French guarantors to rent an apartment in Paris, how does it work?

We know it can be hard to rent an apartment in Paris when you don’t have any French guarantor, we would like to help you stop worrying about this so, we built a partnership with GarantMe, in this post we explain how does it work and what you need to do it.

STUDIOS PARIS apartments partnership with GarantMe, to help you get their Certificate of Eligibility® in the same day, which means that your rent payments are covered by them in case that for some reason you stop paying the rent to the landlord.

By doing this, landlords that work with us are also very happy as it gives them extra confidence on the files that you submit when you apply to rent their flat.

You just need to ask us to send you a link to subscribe and then everything is done online, you will be asked to fill a form and upload the documents needed, if you don’t have everything at once, you can save your files and take back later when you get the rest of the documents.

Which documents will they ask for?

·      You will need a copy of your official ID

·      Proof of revenues which can be ANY of the following:

Internship agreement

Traineeship

Bank loan

Scholarship

Income tax statement

Copy of two most recent payslips

·      Savings, if you want to add some extra points to your file, they will ask you to send a bank statement.

Sometimes it happens that someone who is not in France could perfectly vouch for you as your guarantor, if you also provide their documents in the responsible party section, this will give your profile a lot more chances to be the one that the landlord will choose as tenant as Garantme will be able to vouch a higher amount for you.

How much can this cost?

They will charge you around 3,5% for the total amount of the whole rental period and there is a minimum fee of 150€ for rents below 360€/month.

Contact us if you would like us to send you the link for the GarantMe services, the certificate will be valid even if you decide not to rent with us.
